Assigning Jobs to Machines

Use the Job Editor to create jobs and job templates or to edit job templates. Note that when editing job templates not all options are available.
To assign a job, you will find check boxes on the left in the directory tree. Check the boxes of the machines or groups you want to select and to which you want to assign the jobs you created.

Job Editor
When you open this page and you are not editing an existing job template, you will find check boxes on the left in the directory tree. Check the boxes of the machines or groups you want to select and to which you want to assign the jobs you created.
Name Description
Job Name Name of the job according to the description you defined while creating the template in the Job Editor.
Options Option settings for the job.
Description Short description of the job (has to be entered while creating the job).
Client Type Please select the client type running on the client machines. According to the selected client type only compatible client actions will be available under Add Task.
As soon as possible Select this option if you want the job to be executed as soon as possible.
Not before... Select this option if the job is to be executed no sooner than the specified point in time.
Never Select this option if you want the job execution to continue until all machines executed the job or you manually stop the job.
Not before... Select this option if the job is to be executed only until the specified point in time. Note that for technical reasons it can take up to 30 minutes longer than the specified time for the job to stop.
Add Task Select the action type you want to assign. Alternatively select an existing job template, please note that the template will be split into its individual job steps.
