Publish
Use the Publish tab to assign the broadcasts you created to clients (machines/players) or groups. The tab also provides important information about the status of the individual broadcasts.
You assign broadcasts to individual machines (players) or groups by turning on the checkboxes displayed in the directory tree on the lefthand side. Start by selecting the broadcast that you want to assign or whose assignment you wish to change. Now, turn on the checkboxes for the individual machines or groups which are supposed to receive the broadcast.
Likewise, you can revoke assignments by turning the checkboxes off. If the broadcast was already published to the machine, you will be prompted to confirm. The machine will then stop playing the next time it contacts the server.
You do not have to explicitly save the changes you made to a campaign. The status you set under the Publish tab will be stored automatically. This change will not take effect for the client machines until
Publish has been activated.
One machine can only execute one broadcast at a time (at an unlimited number of campaigns). If you want to assign a new broadcast to a machine, any existing assignment of a different broadcast will be deleted following a confirmation prompt.
If the changes you made merely affect the
schedule of a campaign in a broadcast or the
content of a campaign, you will not have to reassign the broadcast. All you need to do is transfer the changes to the clients using the
action Publish.

This symbol represents the actions Publish / Stop. Clicking Publish starts the transmission of a broadcast to the assigned client machines.
If not all necessary files are already on the server, you will be prompted to first upload the files. The publish progress will start right after the upload has been finished.
If a transmission is in progress, you can stop the publishing process by clicking Stop.

The action Edit is available in detailed view and opens the campaign editor which lets you edit campaigns that have been assigned to a broadcast as necessary.

Status
|
Status of a broadcast. The display does not indicate whether the playback of the broadcast is completed without errors. Use the Monitor tab for this purpose. Rather, the status indicated on this page shows whether a broadcast has already been assigned to client machines or if the transmission of broadcasts to clients is currently in progress. The status is indicated with the help of three different symbols.
|
This symbol indicates that the broadcast has not been assigned to a player (machine), the files belonging to broadcast campaigns have not been fully uploaded to the SiteRemote server or a general error has occurred (see Overview/Monitor).
|
|
This symbol indicates that the distribution of a broadcast is being prepared or has begun. The symbol is also used to indicate that a broadcast that has already been assigned to clients was modified. Submitting changes to the client machines requires that you use the action Publish. Detailed view shows that the campaign of a broadcast is ready, i.e. that all files making up the campaign are available.
|
|
The green symbol is used for broadcasts that have been completely transmitted to the clients.
