Jobs
You can either directly assign a job or create a template. By allowing you to assign certain predefined tasks (Job Templates) to individual machines or groups, you may automate repetitive jobs. Use the
Job Editor to create and edit your own jobs/job templates
.

Assigned Jobs
This table lists all current jobs. Click the "+" button to view all machines to which you have assigned this job.
If you cannot see the table yet, you will have to
assign a template or create a job in the Job Editor
first.
Use the job filter to search the table for specific jobs.
Name
Description
Job Name
Name of the job according to the label defined while creating the template in the JobEditor.
Assigned by
Name of the user who assigned the job.
Date
Date the execution of the job began.
Machines
Number of machines executing this job (Click the "+" symbol to view the name and status of the machines).
Errors
Number of errors that occurred while executing the job(s).
Status
Status and progress of the execution.
Command
Different icons can appear in this cell:
Copy:
Copy associated machines to a tag (virtual folder).
Delete:
Will remove the currently assigned task from all machines. This icon will only be displayed when the job has already run.
Pause:
Pauses the job currently running, if you click on resume afterwards the current job will start again where left off.
Stop:
Stops the job that is currently running.
Replay:
Rerun the job. Only available for manually aborted jobs or jobs with errors.
Scheduled Jobs
The job overview shows any scheduled jobs in the singular reports section. These jobs are created automatically on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
The procedure used to create a scheduled job is to select an existing job template and then to specify an interval for it.
Please note, that the refresh of the job status will take a few hours, because it only happens after the maximum timeout period of the job (based on the selected interval).
Event-based Jobs
The job overview shows any event-based jobs in the singular reports section. These jobs are created automatically once the assigned event has been fired for a machine. Possible events are for example moving a machine into a folder or removing a machine from a folder.
The procedure used to create an event-based job is to select an existing job template and then to specify an event for it. An event-based job will also be created automatically when
configurations
are distributed based on events.
Job Templates
A list of all the job templates you created. To create a new template, click the "New Template" button, which you will find below the table.
Name
Description
Name
Name of the job according to the label defined while creating the template in the job editor.
Type
The templates are either system or user templates. System templates have been created by the Administrator of the SiteRemote server using the System Team and are available under all teams. User templates have been created by a user of a team and are available under that team only.
Client
Shows for which client type the job template can be used.
Description
Description of the job according to the description entered while creating the template in the JobEditor.
Command
Click the "Edit" button to
load and edit a template in the JobEditor
or "Delete" to remove the template from the list.
