Signing up for SiteRemote

If you meet all the necessary requirements, you can sign up for SiteRemote on our homepage at www.siteremote.net. Read on to learn about the individual steps of the registration process.


Calling up SiteRemote

  • Launch your browser and navigate to SiteRemote's Web site at www.siteremote.net.

Login

  • If you already have a login ID, enter your user name and password in the corresponding fields.
  • If you do not yet have a login ID, please click on the link "Sign up a new team."

New Registration

  • The page "New Registration" lets you register a new team with SiteRemote. This registration should be carried out by the main administrator or another person in charge of the machines.
  • In a few easy steps you can create an account (team) for SiteRemote.


You need to use a compatible client software, e.g. SiteKiosk, to monitor a PC. Please select from the following two options the procedure that applies to you.

Registering A SiteKiosk Windows Machine With SiteRemote Server

  • Before you can register a machine with the SiteRemote server, you will need to create a team on the SiteRemote server (see New Registration to SiteRemote). If you have already done so, you can proceed with the next step.
  • Launch the SiteKiosk configuration on the machine you want to register and select "Remote Monitoring" under "Lite" in the tree view.
  • Click on the button "Register". A new dialog with the registration information is opened.
  • You should leave the field Server host name as the default value as long as you want to utilize the PROVISIO hosted server. Otherwise, enter your server name and port into the corresponding fields.
  • By default, the field "Machine Name" will contain the name of the Windows computer with which the machine will later be listed in SiteRemote. You can change this name according to your needs.
  • Enter your user name and password into the corresponding fields using the information you provided when registering your team with SiteRemote.
  • Click the button "OK" to register the machine with the server.
  • When registration was successful, you will see the server hostname your kiosk is connected to in the upper part of the page.
  • Now, save your configuration and launch SiteKiosk as usual. From now on, all information about this machine will be transmitted to the SiteRemote server.
  • Caution: When copying your configuration to register several machines using the same configuration with the SiteRemote server, please copy only the *.skcfg configuration file rather than the SiteRemote configuration (from the folder SiteRemote) to the machines. Otherwise both machines would log on to the server using identical information and would produce meaningless information. Please register each individual machine separately with the SiteRemote server!


Registering A SiteKiosk Android Machine With SiteRemote Server

  • Before you can register a machine with the SiteRemote server, you will need to create a team on the SiteRemote server (see New Registration to SiteRemote). If you have already done so, you can proceed with the next step.
  • Launch the SiteKiosk configuration on the machine you want to register and select "Register SiteRemote" under "Maintenance and Monitoring" in the tree view.
  • You should leave the field Server host name as the default value as long as you want to utilize the PROVISIO hosted server. Otherwise, enter your server name and port into the corresponding fields.
  • By default, the field "Machine Name" will contain the name of the Windows computer with which the machine will later be listed in SiteRemote. You can change this name according to your needs.
  • Enter your user name and password into the corresponding fields using the information you provided when registering your team with SiteRemote.
  • Click the button "OK" to register the machine with the server.
  • When registration was successful, you will see the server hostname your kiosk is connected to in the upper part of the page.
  • Now, save your configuration and launch SiteKiosk as usual. From now on, all information about this machine will be transmitted to the SiteRemote server.
